Secret Crafter #38

Wow that's yet another week that's just flown past without a trace!!
But on the plus side it mean its another Secret Crafter challenge
and this weeks theme is
Pretty Packaging
A bonus for me as i was just in need of some gift boxes.
A friend showed me a great tutorial for a mini pizza box, i instantly knew i'd love making this and set to work....if you want instructions click here
I decorated the top using cuttlebug embossed card, some prima flowers, ribbon and gems and the fab new "shine" miss Anya which i coloured with copics and atyou spicas.
I had so much fun making the first box, i though i'd make another but slightly smaller, i also found another great tutorial for a Box in a Bag {instructions here}
I think i may just be making a few more of these over the next few weeks!!
Thanks for stopping by... oh and BTW i would just like to thank and congratulate Wendy and her DT for being one of few challenge blogs's out there who's members always make the effort to come visit the people who have taken part in their challenges,
i always appreciate you visiting and think your all top notch xx

Secret Crafter #37

This weeks Secret Crafter challenge is one of colour..
GREEN & PINK
to be precise
perfect as i had one of my fabby Ketto stamps coloured in just those colours

I had a bit of a mad day on saturday and managed to make not 1 or 2 but 7 cards... think its a record for me, and this is one of them.
This is the first card i've made using my Ketto stamps,
there just adorable but kinda small! like me i guess PMSL
I coloured the image with Copics and Atyou Spica's
Used my MS doily lace punch to make a 3 tier colour drop background using textured card.
And embellished with prima flowers and BG brads.
Thanks for visiting x Come back any time

A Spoon Full of Sugar #56

Over at ASFOS this is the super sketch by Michelle to follow

And this is what i did with it...

As you can see its another fathers day card,
This time i used my one & only cute boy Simon stamp coloured again with copics.
I used BG papers, bazzil card, green stuff {i have no idea the name of this stuff so if you know please tell me!} and cream ric rac, topped with mini bottle top letters .
I finished with an assortment of coin embellishments.

The Sugar Bowl #13

LUCKY for me!

as my mojo has returned with full strenght today. YAY!
As usual the Sugar Bowl sketch {this time by Lilian} is FAB and the "must include" which i've remembered this time is to use the colour KRAFT {or brown & cream} somewhere on the card. I had to remember this time as there is a chance to win the 3rd set of 6 Gorjuss Girls and i SOOOOOO NEED these!!

This is the sketch...
And this is my take on it..
I needed to make up a couple of fathers day cards and as i have hardly any cute boy stamps the super SN Owl i got free with this months CS mag was perfect!
I just love owls and this has to be one of the cutest i've seen, i coloured them with copics.
I used "kraft" corragated card here there and well everywhere including making the flowers from it!
I also used some natural string, sandpaper and even the letter tiles were "kraft" coloured.
All in all i'm really happy with this card,
but i best be quick and get it posted or it will be late!
Thanks for visiting xx Come back soon

Truly Scrumptious #9

There is a great sketch this time round over at Truely Scrumptious with the promp that you must include altered flowers...

That's right up my street seeing as i'm trying to combine my love of all things altered with my soft spot for the cuties... and the sketch seems to have kick started my mojo back into shape so i set to work!

As you can see i haven't gone for the DL card, i'm not a big fan of those to be honest so i squished it up a bit and made it 6x6, but i think the layout still works.
The flower i made from an old crochet type belt, I just cut a strip, thread some cotton down one side and pulled so it all gathered in the middle, i then cut the edges to form the petals {i made the other mini flower in the photo with the bit i cut off}
The papers are BG, K&Co and a wallpaper sample.
I coloured the Gorjuss with copics.
The stitching is a rub-on roller and i finished with ribbon and a couple of small die-cuts.
Now i just hope my mojo will stick around so i can have at least one day of my hols when i managed to craft and have fun!
Thanks for visiting, leave a comment so i know you stopped by xx

The Sugar Bowl #12

Right now before you say anything i know... i know.. this isn't Blue and Green {although there is the tiniest bit of green on the stem of the flower if that counts lol}... being the muppet that i am and so eager to get a card done in time for this challenge {new one tomorrow i believe} i totally forgot about the colour scheme... what a plank i am.. but its done now and figured as it took me all night and half of this morning to do i would share it anyways lol
This was the awesome sketch i had to follow

And here is my take on it...

I coloured my fav "Guardian Angel" gorjuss image using watercolour pencils, first time i've tryed these and i quite like the effect you get although like my other colouring in i'll need more practice.
I used cuttlebug embossed card, CI paper, ribbon and acetate to follow the layout, and embellished with wired beads, gems and flowers.

Here's hoping i can get things right on the next one!!
Thanks for dropping by x

Tuesday 16 June 2009

Have you seen it?

I seem to have lost my mojo and was wondering if anyone has seen it lurking about?
If you do happen to find it could you please return it asap as i'm really missing making my cute creations.
I'm missing so many great challenges including Lia's sketch over at the Sugar Bowl {still hoping inspiration will strike tonight for this one as it's an awesome sketch} And the last sketch by Sonja over at A Spoon full of Sugar was totally fab too although this weeks sketch is also pretty darn fabby by Michelle! check it out!
Anyways, i apologise for the lack of creativity and hope that mojo will return soon so you can have more pretty things to look at.
Thanks for stopping by, especially if your one of my followers, you guys rock x

Hoppy Birthday

Another quick post sharing
the card i made for my mum
for her birthday last month.
She likes frogs and i had just got the fab "down by the pond" set of stamps from the greetings farm and hadn't used them so thought it the perfect opportunity.
I used both my copics and promarkers on the frog.
I used my nestie blossom die for the lilly pads!
The background is a very glittery card and i used my L-Em punches for the foliage.
Nice to see you, come back soon x

Inspirational Sketches DT Call entry {rather late showing}

Well the DT call is long gone and as you can see i never made it onto the team boo hoo :O( but i still thought i'd share the card i used to enter.. i thought i'd blogged it already but just noticed i hadn't so i'm sharing it now!

This was the sketch ..

And this was my interpretation...

I am actually really pleased with the card,
I adore the BG ambrosia pad and the gorjuss image is way cool too.

Thanks for visiting, come back any time x

Sweet soul!

This is just a card i made playing about really, no challenges and no reasons other then i was just practicing with the copics again, trying to master the hair first!
For the background i used a CB embossing folder which i distressed a little and smooch accents added.
I also used CB die-cut wording and nestie label with gems for a little bling
I dressed the card with a very sweet thin blue lace, and delicate blue flowers.

Thanks for visiting, it means so much to know you stopped by :O)

Sweet Sugar #7

The challenge this time round on Sweet Sugar is make something with your Sugar Nellies that is not a card... and as i need no excuse to play with these fantastic stamps i set to work creating a CD Hanger with my favourite Gorjuss Girl stamp coloured with copics.
I incorporated some of my altered side in this piece by colouring the see thorugh CD blank with Kuratake alcohol inks, i placed the image on the front and placed a die cut shape to frame the piece on the back, then finished with some paper roses and used my crop-a-dile to make and attach the hole and eyelet.
Sorry i'm a bit late with this entry.. don't know where the days go some weeks!
Thanks for stopping by x
Materials used:
Sugar Nellie stamp, Copics,
Nestabilities label cut out, CD blank,
Kuratake inks, paper roses,
